JTT in his Prime

In between the pillow fights of pre-teen slumber parties there was one major topic of conversation:  JTT.  Pull out the teenie bopper magazines, coo over his latest photo shoot, cut the pages out carefully and help your girlfriends plaster his face all over the wall!

JTT always made it in the list of 5 people for the sometimes dirty, future predicting game of MASH.

• Living in a shack with 10 kids
• Driving an ’82 station wagon
• Making less than $10k a year

…as long as J.T.T. warms my bed at night I’ll get by just fine!!  Just look at those flowing locks and that gleaming smile;  he’s so witty and rebellious. Who cares if those lines are rehearsed — you can tell he’s that way naturally by that mischievous look in his eye.

Where is he now?

For one thing, he’s not JTT anymore — and come on people, he always hated being called JTT in the first place. YOU JUST COULDN’T LET IT GO, COULD YOU! Imagine if you had the Tool Man and Mufasa as your parents…I’m sure you’d eventually just want a normal life for a little while, too.

This next tidbit might be a shock to some — and require tatoo laser removal services for others, but everyone’s favorite flannel-shirt-wearing troublemaker has gone back to his real name of Jonathan Taylor Weiss. JTW, WTF?

JTT will be in our hearts forever…even though:

• he never appeared in the series finale of Home Improvement
• he doesn’t eat meat
• he won’t give us a “straight” answer
• he starred in a movie that should have have never left the pages of Mark Twain’s novel (ahem, “Tom and Huck”)
• despite popular belief was never actually in the MMMBop singing bro-band

If any one of us crossed his path today we’d giggle as awkwardly as we did in the early 90′s, reliving those old feelings we have for the ultimate heart throb.

Editor addition:
While we’re on this subject, the bucket man would like to skip over to Devon Sawa. I’d personally like to give a big “I told you so” to my 7th grade girlfriend who made me watch “Night of the Twisters” more times than he’s been arrested for beating up his girlfriends. If he hurt you Topanga, you call me. I’ll plaster his face all over the wall.
